Casa Travertina is a private villa defined by stone and light. Using travertine as both structure and skin, the project frames Mediterranean luminosity in a series of sculpted planes. Walls, floors, and thresholds extend seamlessly to the exterior, creating a continuum between inside and outside, architecture and landscape.

The aim of Casa Travertina is to craft a residence where material and atmosphere shape daily life. The villa seeks to elevate the domestic into an experience of serenity — where travertine is not only finish, but identity. By using a single material across scales, the project achieves both cohesion and timeless elegance.

The design process began with an exploration of stone as a unifying element. Travertine was studied for its porosity, tonal variations, and tactile qualities, resulting in a palette that shifts with sunlight and time of day. Iterations focused on spatial fluidity: large apertures framing the horizon, extended slabs blurring thresholds, and minimal detailing to let material and light dominate.

Casa Travertina demonstrates how a single material can define the essence of a home. Its impact lies in the way it merges permanence with softness — travertine becomes not only a marker of luxury, but of restraint and purity. The villa positions itself as a sanctuary of clarity, where architecture serves as a canvas for Mediterranean life.
