Serranía Retreat is conceived as a secluded villa where architecture returns to the essence of dwelling: warmth, intimacy, and connection with the landscape. Set within the hills, the project reimagines the cabin lifestyle through a contemporary lens — tactile, inviting, and deeply restorative.

The design process drew from vernacular cabin typologies, translating them into a modern architectural vocabulary. Stone walls provide thermal mass and grounding, while timber elements bring warmth and tactility. Interiors were developed around the concept of coziness — layered textures, intimate scales, and filtered natural light — balanced with panoramic glazing that opens to the horizon.
